Our wheeled pavers are well known for their reliability over many years of operation with a wide range of applications. In combination with their flexibility these machines are the ideal choice for paving urban roads. In response to the needs of end users and the construction industry a wide range of optional equipment is available which further enhances their versatility.

We have redefined traction for wheeled pavers with an innovation that hydraulically optimises the traction of the front wheels, taking into account the load on the hopper. We call it “AddTraxxion”. Combined with the electronically controlled rear wheel drive, “AddTraxxion” ensures optimum traction through the perfect combination of precision and power.
The new SD range gives an outstanding driving experience, thanks to a well-balanced undercarriage, wide tires and a pendulum front axle bogie, which ensures ground contact at all times. The machine has a wide wheel base, low centre of gravity and the ability to turn tight corners. The new hydrostatic, wear-free brake system offers maximum deceleration for increased safety.
The optimized direct rear drive with electronically controlled pumps offers precise and easy adjustment. Variable pumps save fuel and reduce noise. The SD 2500W is a 4-wheel drive vehicle and the WS version has 6-wheel drive. The powerful drive gives you a high transport speed – from standstill to top speed in just a few seconds – making it easy to follow the traffic flow.
Our wheeled machines are equipped with high performance tires specially selected for paving applications. A tire size of 445/80R25 gives excellent ground contact and outstanding traction. They offer cross stability and excellent power transmission.
Dynapac has designed the hopper for outstanding material transfer. It’s long (1953mm) and has a very low dump height for fast and easy material transfer from lorries. Separately controlled hopper wings with generous solid rubber flaps ensure quick and easy handling of material. Chamfered hopper corners prevent cold material being left in the hopper. The conveyor tunnel has been shaped for an optimal flow and minimal segregation. A reversible twin conveyor system, (2 x 580 mm wide), offers smooth transfer. To ensure a flawless material flow, we offer a robust paddle sensor system for proportional control. The new optional hopper front flap reduces material spillage on the push rollers and on the road. It also helps to completely empty the hopper and reduces the need for manual work. The Dynapac SD wheeled pavers offer a shock absorption system based on profile dampers that convert the shock energy partly in to thermal energy.
The left and right augers are independently driven and provide continuously variable control, even in reverse mode. Our robust auger system has improved torque to provide a perfect paving result at all working widths. The auger height can be adjusted hydraulically and steplessly up to 250 mm while paving.
The Dynapac auger system is an improved central drive system with a slim gearbox (15 cm wide) and small outer bearings that ensure homogeneity of mixture, despite the high material throughput of up to 750 tons per hour!
This unique auger drive system gives an excellent view of the auger compartment and the conveyor tunnel. The clever drive solution offers low material segregation for a perfect paving result.
All round visibility at all times! The operator has a clear view into the hopper, conveyor and auger compartment, as well as on the marker bar plus he has direct eye contact with screed operators and truck drivers. The platform slides out up to 50 cm on both sides just by pressing a button on the dashboard.
Our ergonomically designed cabin makes sure that the operator can work comfortably and effectively at all stages of the the process. The platform offers generous head room and a flat floor with ample storage space. The big storage boxes in the floor of the platform improve the rear view. The roof offers 2 integrated working lights to the front and to the rear. The ergonomic seats, also available with seat-heating, can be adjusted to any position you need. Repositioning the dashboard has become even easier with the improved dashboard console. The Dynapac SD paver generation also offers a weather house with opening side and front windows for comfortable operation in all weather conditions. To improve the working environment and keep the fume level around the operator stand low, an optional fume suction system is available.
Atlas Copco’s TruckAssist system is designed to help trucks dock correctly and safely with the paver by simplifying communication between the paver and truck driver. The system comprises two sturdy, dimmable LED bars which are strategically positioned on both hopper edges. TruckAssist allows safe, efficient communication between the drivers of the paver and the truck, and enable the paver driver to remain in control of the truck docking process at all times. This feature is particularly useful at night and in low noise areas, reducing the need to use the horn.
This system is especially useful where there is a large amount of spot work involved as it is designed to reduce setting and transport times on the jobsite. The paver driver now has the option to save the position of the auger and screed before moving from one section to the next. One push of a button on the redesigned operator panel will then lift the hydraulic front flap, auger and screed, lock the screed for transport and reverse the conveyor slightly. Other features can be added on demand.
With the aim of saving you time and money through easy access, we’ve made the service points more easily accessible in a central location. The fuse box is easy to access from the cabin platform allowing rapid replacement. The sheer number of plug-and-play components also speeds up the maintenance process.
We have cleared the way to make maintainance easy. Hydraulic pumps, fuel caps, chain clamping device – each component is directly accessible and easy to find. A simple visual inspection of filters and engine parts allows you to quickly check the basics. It is a convenient combination that’ll save you time and money every day.
